Imagine automatic monitoring with advanced fall protection, vital signs tracking, activity tracking, pattern tracking for sleep time and awake time. MyHalo is an automatic medical alert system.
Alerts can be sent to caregivers by cell phone, text message or email.
A panic button is provided, giving dual protection to every patient.
The MyHalo Monitor alerts if the patient is not wearing the device or if the battery is getting low and needs recharged.
I have a personal experience to share with you.
I used to deliver meals on wheels to the elderly. There was a time I remember, a lady on my route had a stroke. Her bracelet medical alert was in her bedroom and she was lying on the floor in the living room.
Luckily I visited her that day and she was conscious when I got there. She was unable to move, but able to talk.
I called 911 for her and called her daughter. I waited with her until the ambulance and her daughter arrived.
I cannot tell you how scared that lady was.
She spent months in rehabilitation getting physical therapy to regain some of her motor skills.
A little while later, her daughter called me and thanked me for being there that day; it would have been at least 2 whole days before she would have found her mother if no one had been there that day.
I cannot imagine how much worse off this lady could have been. With the MyHalo monitoring system, she would have been wearing the monitor and it would have notified help right away, before I even got there.
NOTE: Any medical alert system you choose has to be worn, for sure, to do a person any good at all.
If the patient goes unconscious there is absolutely no way to push a button.
The Halo Automatic Monitoring System takes care of that. At the push of a button, or if the patient falls the caregiver will be contacted.
Many fall accidents happen in the bath or shower, wear MyHalo while bathing or showering, the system is waterproof.
My Granny had a system for years and it saved her life more than once. She told me once, that every senior ought to have the service.
